Washington Legislators introduce Medi-Pot bills

Legislators in Wisconsin have introduced SB 368 and AB 554, bills that seek to legalize marijuana under the guise of medicine. The bills would allow for the establishment of pot shops throughout the state as well as allowing individuals to possess up to 3ounces and 12 marijuana plants.

Steps you can take to promote sound drug policies include:

  • Visiting your Representative at either their state or local office
  • Phoning your legislator
  • Speaking to organizations in your community about this legislation
  • Submitting a Letter to the Editor or an Opinion Editorial to your local media outlet
  • Becoming a member of S.O.S.

Open Legislation:
AB 186 prohibits manufacturing, distributing, or delivering salvinorin A with the intent that it be consumed by a person.
AB 554/AB 368 would allow for the use of “medical” marijuana and establish marijuana dispensaries.
AB 206 creates a committee to study the uses of industrial hemp.
