“Medical” Marijuana Legislation Introduced in Pennsylvania
In 2009 Rep. Mark Cohen (D-Philadelphia) introduced HB 1393, a bill that seeks to legalize marijuana under the guise of medicine. The bill was carried over to the 2010 session and has been referred to the House Committee on Health and Human Services.
In 2010 Sen. Leach intorudced SB 1350, a senate version of the above house bill.
Other steps you can take to oppose the passage of such legislation:
1. Visiting your Representative at either their state or local office
2. Phoning your legislator
3. Speaking to organizations in your community about this legislation
4. Submitting a Letter to the Editor or an Opinion Editorial to your local media outlet.
