Open Legislation: 
SJR 14 calls on Congress to take specific actions in relation to “medical” marijuana.
AB 1706 amends criminal procedures in regards to narcotics and drug abuse cases.
AB 1858 seeks to expand needle exchange programs.
SB 1449 lessens existing penalties for possession of marijuana while driving.
 
Initiatives for the 2010 November ballot:
California Marijuana Legalization Initiative (09-0024).Initiative would allow people 21 years old or older to possess, cultivate, or transport marijuana for personal use. It would also permits local governments to regulate and tax commercial production and sale of marijuana to people 21 years old or older. The measure is led by Richard Lee, the executive director of Oaksterdam University, a major “medical” marijuana dispensary and advocacy group based in Oakland.
